Swollen, reddened leg?!

Question: Swollen, reddened leg!?
Ok, I'm going on vacation TOMORROW, and yesterday I noticed that I have, on my lower leg, a swollen, reddened area, approximately 4 inches wide and 8 inches long!. Its warm to the touch, red, and hurts when I touch it or when I stand!. However, after the use of ice and/or a BenGay type product, the redness and swelling dissipate for a time!.
What could this be!? Please don't say, "This could be a blood clot or cellulitis, go to a doctor ASAP"!. I've researched this and I don't think its a blood clot or cellulitis, and I CAN'T go to the doctor, because #1 I have no health insurance, and #2, I'm leaving the state for a 5 day vacation tomorrow!.

So, what do you think this is, and, what home remedies can I use while I'm on vacation (I promise, when I get back in 6 days, if its no better, I'll call a doctor)!.

I've been waiting for this vacation for months, and I haven't been on a real vacation in 3 years, and I'm not going to cancel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just posted a similar question!.!. minus the whole vacation part!.!.!.now I'm jealous! LOL

Any way, I have had this going on for WEEKS! Been to the doc!.!.!.!.been to the ER!.!.!.!. nothing has shown up!. They have suggested ice, rest and finally heat was their last recomendation along with the use of crutches!. (I know that would not be fun on vacation!.) They did give me Predisone the first time I went, thinking that the steriods would help!.

I honestly do not think it is something that you should mess with because a clot can be fatal!. I completely understand the no insurance thing as well!. Do you have an urgent care clinic in your area that you could go to today!? I think it would be worth the look by a doctor BEFORE you leave!. You would not want to spend your vacation fighting for your life in a hospital somewhere else!. Now, I realize that was extreme but it is possible!. When I went to my doctor the very first time, he yelled at me for waiting!.!.!.!. and I waited 2 days!.

Good luck!. I will be watching your post to see if there are any answers that can be helpful to me, too!. Best wishes and I hope you have a GREAT time on vacation!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

personally I would spread honey on it leave it for awhile (at least 20 min!. the longer the better but remember not to let it touch anything!.!.!. LOL) then rinse it off and see if it gets better!.!.!. take some ibuprofen for inflammation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
