I am going to call the doctor tomorrow...but these are my symptoms...seems like !
Question: I am going to call the doctor tomorrow!.!.!.but these are my symptoms!.!.!.seems like mono to me!.!.!?
I am in my late 40's and have in no way been in contact with saliva, other people's straws etc!.!.!.for years!.!.!.so please keep this in mind!.!.!.!.!.!.
I am totally exhausted!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I get out of bed and want to crawl right back in!.!.!.can barely do anything else (2 days now)!.!.!.!.!.it's horrible!.!.!.!.!.!.sore throat, weakness through whole body, glands do seems a little swollen perhaps, body aches, feeling of total weakness!.!.!.!.!.I've been taking motrin!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.for the sore throat!.!.!.!.!.!.but it's so bad that I can not even do normal things!.!.!.!.I just lay there and watch tv because I have no strength what so ever!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.this has never happened to me before like this!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
could I have mono through another means!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.the funny thing is, I went to a hospital for something totally unrelated the day before!.!.!.!.!.!.(which could be a coincidence)!.!.!.!.!.!.and the next day I could barely lift my head off the pillow!.!.!.!.

It sounds like mono to me!. But it could also be the flu, which you could have picken up anywhere (stores, work, hospitals)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It sounds like mono too me too!.!.!.there is no real antibiotic for mono, but you should see a doctor so he can completely assess the severity of it!.!.!.also he can treat your symptoms and it will help you return to your normal lifeWww@Answer-Health@Com
You must have picked up another bug,most of the time the spleen swells with mono and you have pain in the upper left part of the abdomen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
a few years ago my husband contracted mono from being in close proximity to a customer who aparently had it!.
Your symptoms fit closely to what he had!.!. does your throat feel so swollen that you cannot even swallow water!? That was one of the symptoms!. Hubby was mis-diagnosed at first because of his age (he was around 41) and then I spent hours in the emergency room with him because he did not get better!.
Be sure to mention mono as an option to your doctor and insist they test for it!. Doctors don't look at unlikely diseases even if they are possible (Ever see the show House!?)
