The one disease that frightens me most is Hepatitis C!. I am an operating room nurse and it is the one thing that scares the hell out of all of us! When we do heart surgery; we use tiny needles, about the size of an eyelash!. Sometimes things get fast and furious and there is always the possibility of getting stuck by a needle of an infected person!. I lost a friend last year and that is exactly what happened!. She was at the University of Florida Medical Center waiting for a liver transplant; but passed before a liver became available!. We are still concerned about HIV/AIDS, but at least medication extends ones life!. By the way, we cannot ask a patient if they have any infectious diseases; we just hope they will tell us!

flesh eating disease scares me, and i think its because when i was a kid i watched a program about it on the discovery channel, and then, almost immediately afterward my grandpa told me he had it (he was kidding, but i took t seriously and it kinda freaked me out!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
i've had hepatitis c for 35 years and my health is fine, so that doesn't scare me, but my mother died from lung cancer, and that does scare me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Cancer sounds really scary!. So many people have died from it!. Aids sounds pretty painful as well!. I am definitely not going to be sexually active until marriage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
