Question: Constant sinus infection!?!?!?
I have had a sinus infection for at least 4 years!. I've had it treated several times with antibiotics but it gets almost better and I'm good for a couple weeks and then it slowly comes back!. I've even been on Leviquin and it usually kills everything!!! Any other suggestions!?!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your doctor needs to switch your antibiotic to start with!. The Mayo clinic protocol is to use Amoxicillin for 21 days straight without interuption!. The standard dosing for antiboitics is 10 days!. Sinus infections are notorious for coming back after only a short peroid of cessation this is because of the wonderful bredding ground the sinus are!. They are so warm and wet, just exactly what bacteria like to grow in!. There is also a non-traditional method that the ENT's in my hospital are using called a Neti pot!. This is a small ceramic pot that is used to gently flush out the sinuses with distilled water!. These pots have been used for hundreds of years and are great for treatment of allergies as well!. The co-combinate therapy of a new antibiotic for the longer duration and the Neti pot for physical cleansing should do the trick!. You can even take is a step further and utilize benedryl at night to help dry out the sinus so as to further hamper the development of the bacterial growth!. Discuss all of this with your doctor!. I have been fighting this for years myself and several different Dr's!. One actually gave me a spray that worked very well (he died ) and no other Dr will give me the spray !. They want to do the major surgery of removing the roof of my mouth and splitting the face !. I talked to three people who had this done and two said they wouldn't recommend it as it is as bad as the problem the third said it was wonderful and doesn't have to work ever again because of the mess but he gets SSI for it!.only one can now drive but has many more problems from this !.

see if you can get a CT scan of your sinuses!. they may not have developed quite right and so the infection doesnt drain out!. if that's the case, you can have surgery to fix them so that the infection can clear up!.

sounds like allergies or you may have nasal polyps!. Have you tried herbs!. Eucalyptus Oil is good for congestion!. 1tsp honey & applecider vinegar in 8oz warm water is good for allergies!. Echinacea and Goldenseal is good also!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
