Question: I have stomach problems/symptoms want to know how concerned I should be, what should I do!? HELP!!?
For the past few years, I'd say 2-3, which is a long time,which has me worried, I had a pulling and a heaviness in my central stomach area, which I thought was asthma, and i've been on all sorts of asthma drugs, and yet this pain never went away!.
Only this week did it finally get so painful that I went to the ER, where they told me that it's stomach problems, heartburn/GERD, etc, but they told me to go see a specialist instead of treating me or finding out right then and there!.
It's been getting worse, I feel like I'm going to pass out/faint sometimes, I could almost taste blood in the back of my throat, but definitely something, I feel pains in my esophagus, and it sometimes radiates towards my back, and chest, my stomach gurgles and constantly feels sick,
and yet the ER I was at couldn't do anything for me!
So if I'm about to die, they can't do anything unless I see a specialist!? what the f*ck!?
I'm going to make an appointment soon, but I really can't handle this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have gerd to it might help of you research it a little bit on the net!.Also souunds like you may have a bit of anxiety which can cause a tightness in the chest and throat area!.GERD can cause pain and a tightness in the throat!.Its most likely both gerd and anxiety causing your symptoms!.Talk to your family dr!. and they should be able to give you something for your aanxiety and for GERD I take prescription strength zantac which I have found to be a miracle drug for me!.You can also buy lower strengths over the counter!.Your dr!. and the er!. will most likely keep telling you to see a specialist which really you should they know how to treat this conditon better than er staff and your family dr!.The only test you should need to see if its gerd for sure is a upper gi!.They make u drink this goo and they make you lay on a xray table so they can see as your body digests the goo!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suffer from GERD (acid reflux) and I have had it for almost a year and a half!. Your symptoms are almost parallel to mine which makes me think you have GERD!. I had an allergic reaction to prevacid and my symptoms got worse!. I am now on Zantac and it works wonders!. I dont know what specialist you are going to see but I went and saw a gastro dr!. I had an upper endoscopy done which showed that I had GERD!. Although an endocscopy doesnt seem pleasant it wasnt that bad and I was able to figure out what was wrong with me!. If the drs in the ER thought this was anything life threatening then they wouldnt have let you go home because they wouldnt want to have law suits filed against them!. If you continue to feel worse make an appointment with your regular dr to see if they can get you into seeing a specialisty sooner!. If you feel like your life is in danger go to the ER!.!.!.by law they cant turn down anyone who walks through the doors to the ER!.
