Trouble breathing as a result of high intake of sugar?!

Question: Trouble breathing as a result of high intake of sugar!?
Anytime I eat too much sugary candy (e!.g!. gummies), I later suffer what feels like a massive hiccup attack - my chest fills up with gas, my mouth produces a lot of saliva, and I have a slight difficulty breathing!. Every so often I hiccup, but the pain is there in between the hiccuping too!.
I just had an attack like this yesterday, and at one point I was almost unable to breathe, I was drooling like a sick dog & nearly passed out!. (My husband sat me up & helped me breathe normally and this passed after a minute or so)!.
Could this be a disease symptom (I've never been diagnosed with diabetes), or does the body normally react badly to a high intake of sugar!?

Answers:
I wonder if there could be a food allergy here!. It seems unlikely that sugar would cause you to have trouble breathing, but if you are allergic to something else in the gummies, then that might be causing your problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
