Answers:
simple diffusion from alveoli into the blood!. Smoking kills the alveoli which is why people who smoke have a hard time breathing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am recyling my own answers now!. I answered a question just like yours before!. Here it goes:

When you take a breath (inspiration) air travels in through your mouth and nose then pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles into your alveoli!. Your alveoli are surrounded by tiny blood vessels called capillaries!. The interstial space between the alveoli and capillaries is where the exchage of gases occur!.

The body absorbs oxygen in the alveoli because the partial pressure of O2 is higher in atmosheric air than it is in venous blood, so it crosses from the alveoli into the blood!. likewise the partial pressure of CO2 in venous blood is higher than in the atmoshere so it crosses from the blood into the alveoli!. This process is called difussion!. The Nitrogen in the air is not diffused, it only helps to keep the alveoli inflated!.

You then exhale the left over carbon dioxide and oxygen back out into the air opposite the way it came in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
