Hiv test question please?!

Question: Hiv test question please!?
Okay about 6 weeks ago I had a one time unprotected sexual encounter with a guy!.!.It was a mistake and I am so scared about hiv!.!.About 4 weeks after I went and had an hiv test just to get the first one out of the way then re-test in 3 months!.!.It came back negative but I know it was kinda soon but I thought I was feeling the early symptoms like a swollen throat, sore muscles, ect!.!.Then I went to std clinic and had all std tests and another hiv test all came back negative and that was a little more than 5 weeks post exposure!. I know it can take 3-6 months for the test to detect it but I was also told that if you are thinking you have early hiv symptoms and you test at that time more than likely the test will pick that up!.!.Can anyone help me clear this up!? ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
At the point that you undergo seroconversion (or when the virus FIRST proliferates), you may present with HIV syndrome (swollen lymph nodes accompanied by flu-like symptoms), and you will indeed have a positive HIV test (IF it is a blood test)!. Sometimes the initial REPLICATION can take up to a year, but at the point when a patient begins having these symptoms, a blood test will def show up positive because the symptoms are the RESULT of the virus and antibodies distributing throughout the body!.

Hope this helps answer your Q, hun!. Honestly, I wouldn't worry!. HIV syndrome is VERY pronounced!. People KNOW when they have it!. Sometimes the mind can be so powerful that the aches and pains become real, psychosomatic!. I am the same way, esp about STDs, they scare the crap out of me!.!.!.!.!.!.

It is very hard to get HIV, if it's any consolation!. It has a VERY low virulence compared to most STDs (this is not what they tell you in sex ed, haha!.!.!.!. so don't tell anybody, it's supposed to be a secret!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to relax,
4-6 weeks and you will see and accurate sign from a test!.
as far as the symptoms, you are probably just getting sick!. visible signs don't occur for years after infection!. I would guess and say you are ok!. Your mind plays a big part in waiting for test results the event in question!. I would be lying to say I have never been there myself!. The best advice I could offer is learn from you mistakes and don't remake them!.
Good Luck

All you can do is wait for the right time to take the test to be sure!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
