Question: How do i get scabies out of a mattress!?
i've had someone stay at my house recently who appears to have scabies!. i've been blasting all of the bedding they slept with in hot water and drying it in the clothes dryer!. i've pretty much got everything under control but i have guests from out of town staying with me in two days and i need to do something about the mattress!. should i spray it with a lice spray!? or i own oust, which is a hospital grade disinfectant/ fabric deoderiser will that work!? my other option is that i own a steam mop, but i've never used it before, will it drench the mattress and will it even kill scabies!? please help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would go ahead and use the steam mop!. I thought my son had scabies recently and was told to wash the bedding in hot water!. If hot water works for the bedding, hot steam should work for the mattress!. Steam it and then if possible set it outside to air dry any dampness!. Also, scabies cannot live away from the human body for more than 2-3 days!. They might be gone already!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I would try to steam clean the mattress today so that it dries before your friends come to stay!. If it fails, at least your friends live out of town so they wont spread it to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com
