Answers:
Pink eye is VERY contagious!!!! Keep your hands washed and use antibacterial hand wash and sanitizer!. Do NOT touch your mouth, nasal passages or eyes, as it will spread!. She needs to see a doctor immediately, as pink eye (conjunctivitis) can cause blindness if left untreated!. If you wear contacts and get pink eye, remove them immediately!. The doctor can prescribe a cream (which is best, in my opinion) or drops that will have it cleared up in a couple days, but make sure to use the drops the full course of time, or she can renew!.

With a child that young, she may have RSV (respiratory synctil virus !.!.!. not sure on spelling) which can lead to death in a child so young!. Listen for wheezing in her chest!. If you hear wheezing, she has RSV and needs to be hospitalized!. My preemies had RSV and were hospitalized for 2 weeks!. They've had lasting asthma as a result of having it!. It's way worse than the flu!. I repeat, it IS DEADLY! You may also watch her chest as she inhales and see if she's working really hard to pull in air!. RSV is nothing to play with!. I had to take an hour course before I was allowed to bring my preemies home!. I also caught it from my oldest child and thought I was going to die!.!.!.I PRAYED to die, in fact!.

As far as the doctor goes, Honey, find a new one! When my oldest son got RSV, my 'pediatrician' told me I was just an overprotective mother!. I sat down in the middle of my dining room floor with a phone book, in tears and praying for God to lead me to a REAL doctor! You need to speak to an attorney or a hospital nearby and find out how to file a complaint against that 'doctor,' and never use him/her again! As I said, find a REAL doctor!

My other piece of advice!? Get her to the nearest ER!. They can run a test and tell if it's RSV!. She'll more than likely be hospitalized and started on an IV!.!.!.which may be the best thing!. You'll have piece of mind and help with her care!.

God bless you, Sweet!. I hope the baby gets better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

"Pink eye" can be not-contagious real soon after you start the antibiotics (but watch yourself and the rest of the family for symptoms)!.

Call the doctor right back and ask him what to do!. A month-old baby should not be treated by strangers on the Internet!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take her to the Hospital's Emergency room now!.
That is what it is for!. Go now, Please!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
