Being bitten by a dog is nothing to take lightly!.!.!. particularly if the dog was a stray!. If it was owned by a person, the likelihood that it will give you rabies is slim to none because responsible pet owners vaccinate their dogs against the disease!. If the pet has an owner, get in contact with them if possible and see if they can provide the dog's vaccination record!. If the dog has been vaccinated, then you'll be fine as far as rabies is concerned!. Bacteria LOVE warm, moist, dark places!.!.!. all the things a bandage provides!. Provided that it's not still bleeding or oozing, leave it open to air as much as possible!. Should you go out anywhere, you may want to cover it still, particularly if it is not scabbed over!. If it is scabbed over, you should be fine!.
And watch for signs of infection!.!.!. increased redness, pain, swelling and heat and green, yellow, or foul smelling drainage are all reasons to visit the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The dog bite should be reported to the police!. If there is a history of the dog having bitten others, especially children, the police may act further!. Many places have laws against dogs running loose without a leash!. Dog bites are usually less worrisome than people bites which have more germs!. Still if your skin was broken by the bite, it should be cleanses and kept covered, unless stitches were needed!. Is your tetanus shot up to date!. If the dog was normally a house dog, there is essentially no worry about rabies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay honey!. Being bitten by a dog is some serious stuff!. He/she might have rabies! So first you need to wash the cut with soap and water!. Then you need to wrap it in a very light ace bandage and watch tv or read for two hours to let it air out!. Then, put a regular band aid on it while you sleep!. If you wake up and the bite is puffy and infected SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should put Neosporin
on it and cover it during the day!. To keep out germ!. Then at night let it air out!. I would also make sure that the dog had all its shots!. You might need one if the dog didn't!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
