Any big pharmaceutical people ever died of cancer?!

Question: Any big pharmaceutical people ever died of cancer!?
It will be interesting to know if there have been any wealthy person who made money from cancer patients died of cancer himself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Even if they died of cancer they have tried the best treatment possible which are not available or affordable to the vast majority of patients with the same condition!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, everyone great and small can become a cancer victim!.
I saw patients as a cancer specialist for 20 years including years at large medical centers where very wealthy patients (such as Ted Kennedy) were treated!.
The wealthy and well connected received the same treatment that we tried for regular people!.

One the doctors in my group died of cancer in his mid-30's!.
He was making money from treating cancer patients, but like me he was making far less than $100,000 per year!. (Not all doctors - even specialists - have obscene incomes!.)

This is why I discount the ideas that doctors are hiding effective cures for various cancers!.
If there had been a cure for metastatic breast cancer, Paul McCartney's wife would have received it!.

The treatment which cured Lance Armstrong's metastatic testicular cancer was the same regimen I used in a small city practice for people of all economic backgrounds!.

No patient in my practice was refused treatment because they could not pay!. Cancer doctors do a great deal of financially uncompensated work for their patients!. The drug companies would help provide free medicines in a few cases - though I would have liked to see this happen more often!.

No cancer doctor I know - or have ever heard of - wants to hide effective cures for any type of cancer!.

Conspiracy theories seem to abound in all areas of human endeavor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The problem with www!.quackwatch!.org is that they are biased toward any non-mainstream approach!.

You can type in "melatonin" on their search box and then look for articles containing the word "cancer"!. You will see that they discredit the use of melatonin for the treatment of cancer!.

If you look at PubMed or the MD Anderson site as well as other reputable clinics all over the world, you will see that melatonin has given some positive results in clinical studies!.

The fact that melatonin is used by a number of reputable and prestigeous clinics throughout the world with positive results is never mentioned by www!.quackwatch!.org !.

This is but one example!. There are many!.

PS: I went back to www!.quackwatch!.org and typed in "Vioxx"!. It has no matches on this keyword!. So much for "looking out for you"!. It appears that if an unsafe product comes from a large pharmaceutical it bears no mention on this site!. As I said earlier, this is a biased site!.

There ARE quacks out there, and ineffective and even dangerous treatments to watch out for!. But a site that condemns anything that did not come from one of the large drug companies is of no real use!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Doctors, researchers and scientists and their families develop cancer at the same rate as the rest of the population!. If they were hiding a cure in order to make money they would be watching people they loved die, and risking their own lives, rather than reveal the secret!.

To suggest that Kylie Minogue is 'healed' because she is wealthy is absurd; I am in exactly the same position as Kylie - in remission from breast cancer, which could recur at any time!. I'm just older and poorer and I've been in remission longer!. The tabloids claim she is 'all-clear'; there is no all-clear, and no cure, for breast cancer!. She is as vulnerable to recurrence or metastasis as I am!.

As Spreedog points out, not all those who treat cancer are wealthy!. And not every country has the same health system as the US; I live in the UK and we have a National Health Service - we don't pay for our medical treatment, including cancer treatment, the state does!.

Cancer treatments cost our government billions; if there were a simple 'cure for cancer' BELIEVE ME they would be providing it rather than forking out for exactly the same treatments that cancer patients pay for in other countries!. And our doctors are salaried - no medical professional made one extra penny because I had cancer treatments, and they wouldn't make one extra penny if the cancer rate doubled!.

Cancer affects rich and poor alike; money won't protect you or cure you!.

Barry, how much do you know about the Hoxsey 'treatment' for cancer!? One significant case where it didn't work was Harry Hoxsey himself, its creator!. He contracted prostate cancer in 1967 and underwent conventional cancer treatment after treating himself unsuccessfully with his own tonic!.

Hoxsey was a non-medically qualified naturopath who sold a herbal treatment he claimed could cure cancer, though he said he did not pretend to know how it worked!.

Most of the herbs in the tonic have been tested for antitumour activity in cancer, with negligible results for a few and no results for the others; some of the herbs, most notably pokeroot, have toxic side effects

As many people are aware if you have the money you can have the healing (ref: Kylie)

there is a video split into 3 parts regarding what some Doctors are saying regarding healing the sick

Hoxsey Doctors and the American Medical Association - is their goal to cure you from illness - or are they more interested in maintaining you in sickness!? This well documented film has historical footage showing how the AMA tried to close down a cancer clinic curing people daily!. Who benefits!?
