Answers:
The appendix is a vestigial structure, meaning that it does not actually serve a function in our body!. So not having the appendix any more will not affect your ability to strike, grapple, kick, etc in any way!.

However, depending on if you had an open appendectomy or laparoscopic (key-hole) appendectomy, the scar(s) from the surgery may leave you with some pain for a short period of time, usually no more than a couple of weeks!.

You also need to allow the incision to fully heal, both inside and out!. During this time (usually about 6 weeks), if you are too physical, you may experience pain, but more importantly, you may open up the incision again, increasing the risk for a hernia there in the future!.

If you are really concerned, check with the surgeon who did the surgery!.

Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You'll be fine once you've rested and your soft tissue has had time to repair itself!. Don't heavy lift for a few weeks, wait 3 months before you think of starting training again!. Then you'll be fine!. We don't need the appendix, it's a left over, or relic of our first beginnings as humans!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Having you appendix out will affect nothing!. You will be able to do everything and not have the fear of appendicitis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
