Question: My daughter is allergic to wheat and milk so they have put her on the gfcf diet!. Is Oat Flour ok!?
Answers:
Oat isn't a form of wheat but it has gluten in it and gluten is very similar to wheat!. She shouldn't have any gluten!. I know the diet!. I did it for four years for my son!. He has since outgrown his allergies!. These grains have gluten: oats, barley, rye, and some others that I can't think of!. Certain grains are okay like rice!. Corn is okay but it can bother some people!. Go on google and look it up or get a book on it!. Good luck!. For milk, read labels!. There is milk in a lot of t thinks!. These words mean it has milk in it: casein, lactic or lactose, whey, buttermilk!. If you put the gfcf diet on google it will really help you out!. There are alternatives to milk like soy milk and rice milk!. I find soy milk disgusting but rice milk is sweet!. I am a vegan so I don't have dairy!. They also have potato milk and almond milk!. You can try different milks to see what she prefers!. Also, if she likes orange juice she can have orange juice with calcium!. Food allergies are so tough but tell her not to let it get her down!. She can't think about what she can't eat but about what she can eat!. Lots of luck to you and your daughter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
