Very painful glands in throat-Am I getting sick?!

Question: Very painful glands in throat-Am I getting sick!?
This morning, I woke up and the glands in my throat really hurt!. They aren't really swollen, just painful!. And the last time they hurt like this, a few days after I got the flu!. I really don't want the flu again, that was nasty!.

But, am I probably getting sick or could it be something else!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Very likely!. but you need to differentiate the salivary glands (just under the jaw line) and lymph nodes (in a chain along the side of the neck)!. If it is the lymph nodes, then you are likely coming down with some kind of viral syndrome!. If they are the salivary glands!. then it could be the mumps (if you haven't had them before) or a salivary duct stone!. Start drinking lots of fluids, OJ and honey/lemon juice now!. The vitamin C will help and you might be able to abort an infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not all sore throats come in packages!.!.!.!.!. some come with the flu like u expericned but others could come on their own or with a cold or some other sickness!. I would giv e it a couple of days and drink teas and soup and hard candy!. and if any other symptoms appear and the sore throat does go away within a good 4 days i would go see a doctor, because the sore throat most likely came with something eles!.!.!.!.!.!. GOOD LUCK!Www@Answer-Health@Com
