Using buscopan - can i use it long term?!

Question: Using buscopan - can i use it long term!?
I have had stomach probs for years, feel dr is not interested!. Have tried ant acids, peppermint tablets etc and now using buscopan which works!. Does this mean i have IBS!? In addition pharmasist says not to use it long term!. does anyone know why this is!?

it does seem to make my pupils wider and a bit tired but cures stomach spasms!. Dont want to go back to gp as feel she thinks i am making a fuss about nothing but i have stomach pain every day!!.
Does anyone know of any other remedies if i need to stop taking this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
another tab on the market is colofac - this can be taken long term, and can be bought over the counter!. my daughter is on this medication from the doctor and its ok to take for longer periods!. try and keep a note of everything you eat while you are having an attack!. some veg can make IBS pretty bad, with me its sun dried tomatoes and brocolli also some fruit can cause an attack of IBS like green apples!. if it stays bad just have something plain like soup for a few days!. if you're bowel movements are irregular fibregel will help, and paracetamol will help with the pain, ibuprofen can cause stomach problems so try and avoid them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't, especially if this is not advised on the packet!. Definitely go and see your gp or even make a hospital appointment!. your condition seems weird, and if nothing seems to be working, definitely go and get it checked out, it could be serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i took buscopan when i had bouts of ibs, if you are in pain everyday there is obviously something amiss, seek anither opinion other than your disinterested dr, good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
