well, my friend has herpes and i think she was having an oubreak cuz she had a coldsore in her lip!. && well we went swimming and she borrowed my p!.e!. shorts to go swimming in!. If i wore those shorts would i get it!? && can herpes be spread through the outbreak spot!? like if i otuched the coldsore or sumthin!? pleasee tell, im like PARANOIDWww@Answer-Health@Com

A cold sore is oral herpes, which is not the same as genital herpes!. The only way you could get your friends oral herpes is if she kissed you on the lips, or you could get it genitally if she were to go down on you (But you don't sound like those kind of friends)!. Even if she had genital herpes, you wouldn't get it from her swimming in your PE short, the virus doesn't live outside of the body for more that a few seconds!. And to clarify to all of these misinformed people, herpes is not contagious all the time, actually, aside from outbreaks, it's only contagious an average of 7 days a year!. It's just that because there is no outbreak present, you don't know which 7 days out of the year it is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my explanation!.!.!.!.!.she only has a cold sore on her lip, not below her waist or on her privates!. also the chemicals in the pool would kill off a lot of bacteria!. if u wore the shorts u would not get herpes!. if u touched the cold sore then your mouth or privates then u could possibly transfer it to your body!.

an std is only sexually given to a partner!. it can only be given thru sexual contact!. std's travel thru blood!. if she wore your pants and she left blood on them and you were bleeding than yes it's possible!. it's rare though!. cold sores, no!. the only way to get it thru cold sores is if say 2 ppl kissed and they both have cold sores and one or the other has an std and they have mouth to mouth contact!. cold sores "down there," only if you had one "there" and it met with the one she had!. but only thru sexual contact!. i don't recommend her wearing your garments but only cause if it were me i would'nt want someone wearing my clothes!. the same for men!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Herpes on your lip and herpes on your crotch are two different forms of herpes!. And you can't get a crotch herpe from a mouth herpe!. But you can get a mouth herpe from a crotch herpe!.

Herpes is a virus and yes it is contagious!. If you touched the cold sore and then touched yourself you could get it!.Herpes also sheds all the time even when there are no lesions present!. It can be transferred at any time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
