If Russert had a heart catheterization test, would his condition been identified!

Question: If Russert had a heart catheterization test, would his condition been identified in time!?
It was reported that Mr!. Russert recently had a stress test but nothing indicated anything really out of the norm!. He was told to make some lifestyle changes but basically nothing more!. If Mr!. Russert were to have had a heart cath exam, would they have been able to idetifify the potential problem and treat surgically with a stent, etc!. Why wasn't a heart cath performed!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, heart catheterization would of detected it!. It's the best test for heart function and it's totally accurate!.

The person above me said that catheterizations are risky!. It's EXTREMELY small that anyone would die from catheterization!. It's probably the most non-risky of the invasive procedures out there!. The benefits would always outweigh the risks!.

Pediatric heart transplant patients get catheterizations daily and don't die!. Age is a minor factor in surgery, as far as cardiac risk stratification goes!.

In summary- they show everything from valve defects to blocked CA!. Theres only 0!.1% chance of death!. He would not of died!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The stress test showed no problem!. There are risks with heart cath!. Someone (could have been Russert himself) decided the risk wasn't worth it!. If he'd had the heart cath they would have seen the problem and maybe been able to head off the heart attack!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i was wondering the same thing!. I really, really miss him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
