Menstrual Cycle every 38 days, abnormal?!
Question: Menstrual Cycle every 38 days, abnormal!?
One of the Doctors at work said it's very unusual for a women's menstrual cycle to be as long as mine!.!.!.I tend to have my period every 38 days as opposed to 28 days which is considered normal; I never thought anything strange with that, i figured as long as I had one every month (or so!) it wasn't a problem!? Feel kinda silly that as Nurse I should know, just wondered if anyone Else's cycle is that long, as I seem to be the only one out of my friends and other people I talk to who have this issue!. I wounder are there any underlying reasons/causes for this!?

normal cycles are between 21 and 42 days long!.!.!. mine usually about 32 days but i went over 5months between this period and my last, it all depends on your body

I only ever get my period every 50+ days and have ever since I started getting it!. My grandmother never had any kind of cycle to speak of, she would go months sometimes between periods!. From what I understand it just depends on each indavidual woman!.
Was this doctor a man!? If you work with any other doctors try asking them, or asking a woman doctor if that would make you more comfortable!. If it were me though I wouldn't worry about it!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mine switches back and forth from every two weeks up to every fifty-four days!.!.!.with the average being about thirty-eight!. Oddly enough!.

It is normal for you!. As long as they are regular and your pap is fine, then relax and enjoy having a few less cycles a year than the "normal" ones out there!

Before I starting taking birth control pills!. my cycles were abnormal too!. Every woman is different!. It all depends on your hormones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
