Answers:
the best treatment for a sty is a hot compress--- hot water as hot as you can stand it on a hand towel and keep it there as long as possible, as the day goes by, and hopefully after tonight it will have calmed down!.

you can also disinfect the sty and help it come to a head by gently cleaning the eyelid with diluted BABY shampoo, however i wouldn't necessarily reccomend this simply because your eye is already irritated and the shampoo might make it worse if you're not careful!.

so for now, just stick with teh hot compress and maybe take some advil for the pain/headache/discomfort!.

also, WARNING, do NOT try and pop the sty once it comes to a head! it may be tempting but it is very dangerous and can get infected and become even worse!
they suck, i know but try to hold it out, good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Put a hot cloth on the sty, you can just use hot tap water on a clean wash cloth!. That should "pop" they sty and you'll be fine!. You don't need to press really hard on the sty with the warm cloth!.!.!.the weight of the cloth should be plenty!.
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went through the same thing when I was in college, hot compress will work and then try to pop it once you get the head to come up and it should heal pretty soon!. Antibiotics will help too!. Good luck and hope it helps!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best thing, of course, is to see the doc but as you can't just yet try this: take a teabag and pour boiling water on it in a cup!. Let it stand until it cools down - really cools down!. Take an eye bath or egg cup, fill it with the cold black tea and bathe your eye with it by gently cupping it over your eye and tipping it over (do this over a sink with a towel round you!. DON'T use the same water for both eyes or you risk spreading infection!. If you don't have any tea bags use a half a teaspoon of salt to a pint of boiling water and again make sure the water has cooled thoroughly before using!. Once you have done this take a clean bit of cloth, soak it in clean water and place it over your eye and rest!. Whatever you do don't fiddle with it - I know it's tempting but you'll only make it worse!.
The gold ring suggestion is an old wives' tale - plus you must be careful, you don't want to spread an infection or introduce other germs!. Please see your doc asap!. Tell your parents about it as soon as they get home!. If you are in a lot of pain you could take simple painkillers (follow the instructions on the packet exactly) Hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
