If your AZO test strip http://www!.azoproducts!.com/faq/azo_test_!.!.!. showed negative for nitrites and positive for white cells, you may not have a UTI!.
When you have a UTI, the bacteria produce an enzyme that turns (ordinary) urinary nitrates into urinary nitrites!. So negative nitrites means that according to your AZO test, there are no bacteria in your urine!.
White blood cells in urine may mean an infection!. This will depend however on the number of cells!. A small number of white cells can be present in your urine without an infection!.
If you're having UTI symptoms and your AZO test showed leukocytes (white blood cells), you may want to contact a physician for an actual lab UTI!. Home UTI tests are fairly reliable, but actual lab tests are better!
