Answers:
Yes, most liver damage can be reversed, especially when it is related to Tylenol over-dosage!.

However, Alcohol-Induced Liver Disease can create 3 different types of liver problems!. Not all of them being reversible!.

1!. Fatty Liver- liver would improve once you stop drinking alcohol!.

2!. Alcoholic hepatitis- only reversible in it's early stages!.

3!. Alcoholic cirrhosis- this is not reversible and is deadly!.

Most heavy drinkers go through all of these stages!.
Alcoholic cirrhosis eventually requires a liver transplant!.
The liver is an amazing organ because it can repair itself once you stop creating damage but only with certain things!.

Consider getting your liver checked just to be safe!
You don't always have symptoms til' end stages occur!.

Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The working cells of the liver are known as hepatocytes!. Hepatocytes have a unique capacity to reproduce in response to liver injury!. Liver regeneration can occur after surgical removal of a portion of the liver or after injuries that destroy parts of the liver!. Although the liver's ability to react to damage and repair itself is remarkable, repetitive insults can produce liver failure and death!.

The liver has a tremendous capacity to regenerate itself!. If caught early, minimal liver damage can be reversed if the person abstains from alcohol,

As far as safe amounts for liver when it comes to alcohol!.!.!.!.Up to 2 drinks a day for men and 1 drink a day for women is considered safe with regard to the liverWww@Answer-Health@Com

No simple answer applies!. It all depends upon the type and amount of damage!. Usually the first change in an alcohol damaged liver is known as "fatty change!." This often causes enlargement of the liver!. If that is all, then discontinued drinking and a healthy diet can completely heal and you'd never know the difference in the future!. As alcohol damage continues, liver cells will gradually be destroyed and scar tissue forms which will not disappear ever, but may slowly progress to full blown alcoholic cirrhosis with its later complications and death!. Alcoholic cirrhosis never repairs itself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Can liver damage be reversed!?

The liver is a unique organ!. It is the only organ in the body that is able to regenerate!.!.!. that is completely repair the damage!. With most organs, such as the heart, the damaged tissue is replaced with scar, like on the skin!. The liver, however, is able to replace damaged tissue with new cells!. An extreme example is a patient who suffers an overdose from Tylenol!. In this example up to 50 - 60 percent of the liver cells may be killed within 3 - 4 days!. However, if no other complications arise, the patient's liver will repair completely, and a liver biopsy after 30 days will appear completely normal with no signs of damage and no scar!. However, the long-term complications of liver disease occur when regeneration is either incomplete or prevented by progressive development of scar tissue within the liver!. This occurs when the damaging agent such as a virus, a drug, alcohol, etc!., continues to attack the liver and prevents complete regeneration!. Once scar tissue has developed it is very difficult to reverse that process!. Severe scarring of the liver is the condition known as cirrhosis!. The development of cirrhosis indicates late stage liver disease and is usually followed by the onset of complications!.

False!. The liver can regenerate tissue, depending on what has caused the trauma!.

If the liver is fatty (a bad sign) stop drinking immediately, 100%, forever!. It may slowly heal, it may not!. If it is scarred (as in cirrhosis, cancer, hepatitis) I do not believe there is any reversal possible!. Any further drinking will only worsen this condition!.
