Please see a doctor!. Many women mistake heart pains for muscle strains, indigestion, whatever, and suffer heart attacks!. The symptoms for men and women include pain in the chest area, shortness of breath and often pain the extremities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's definitely hard to tell!.
You haven't given a lot of information to work with!.

What is your age!?

Exercise does increase your heart rate and you can experience a minor level of chest pain if you over exerted yourself but nothing real painful and it shouldn't last long!.

Females have less symptoms and often no symptoms of heart problems or a heart attack than men usually!.

I will give you one possible problem and how to find out if that could be the problem but I am not telling you that you don't have an actual heart problem because the opposite could be true!. An ECG at your doctor's wouldn't hurt anything!.

You say "heart area"!. I'm not sure what location on your chest you mean by that!. You may have what is called Costochondritis!. It is inflammation between the middle chest bone (sternum) and the rib cage!. The pain can be stabbing or sharp at times and very intense!.

You can find out if you have this by pressing hard/firmly on the area where it hurts and seeing if that hurts!. Also check to see if that area feels more tender than other areas!. If you have that, you more than likely have Costochondritis!.

Costochondritis is treated with ibuprofen!. It can not be treated with Tylenol because it does not take away inflammation!.

This usually lasts up to 6 weeks and can come and go in active people!. It is the chest pain experienced by 80% of teens!. It can occur without activity right out of the blue, not just with activity!.

An evaluation by a doctor would not hurt anything and I advise you to do so but make sure you mention Costochondritis as it is possible that this is your problem!.

Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
