Hello,
I have had MS for many years!.!.Life with MS is a lot like life without MS!.!.some days are up, some days are down!.
MS is really not that bad!.!.Yes it can be, but for the majority of us , we lead pretty normal lives!.!.only somewhere in the range of 15 or 20% end up in wheelchairs!.With the advance of the new disease modifying drugs you may go month or years between exacerbation's (attacks)!.I have been on Betaseron for 8 years, and it's been 8 years since I had an attack with almost no disabilities!.!.my left hand is a little unpredictable and has some numbness but all and all I do great!.
I am 50, still work full time and lead an active life!.!.
Good Luck and stay positive!.!.it really helps !Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have an autoimmune condition as well, not MS, but mine can be just as debilitating and as potentially deadly!.

You will go through the stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance!.

It will be an adjustment, but you will learn to make the adjustments, try to be as healthy as possible, and continue with your life as you would have before - but keeping in mind any limitations!.

You will need to plan ahead for the future, so make sure you do that (financial needs - medical, potential handicaps, etc)!.

Having said all that, mine has really got a lot better here recently!. In fact, almost all but vanished!. These are supposedly "uncurable" diseases, but mine is in essence just about "cured!."

A lot of it has to do with how I've changed my diet lately!. I've started a more "raw" diet - meaning, eating more fruits and vegetables, mainly raw, eating hardly any meats (if any, mainly just fish), avoiding dairy products, avoiding processed foods, avoiding sugar (and artificial sweeteners), avoiding anything with wheat or wheat products!.

On top of that, I've been "detoxing"!. With autoimmune problems you get a buildup of fibrin in your blood vessels, your body becomes more acidic (less alkaline), and you can even develop a systemic yeast infection!. If you can try to reverse these problems by detoxing - taking probiotics, taking digestive enzymes, including more alkaline foods and drink in your diet - you might notice a reversal, or at least an improvement of your symptoms!.

I was initially diagnosed with my stuff 8 years ago when I was in my early 20's!. After years of being on immunosuppressive medications, NSAID's, seeing a multitude of specialists, in and out of hospitals - I recently tried doing this!.

And it's only been just over a month and I already feel almost totally normal again!. I feel 15 years younger! I figured I had nothing to lose, and everything to gain!.

You definitely should keep seeing your doctor, including your rheumatologist and neurologist for the MS issues!. But do talk to them about maybe trying this, and give it a whirl!.

If you have more questions, feel free to message me!.

But a few sites to get you started, I will post below!.

Best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

MS is a hard disease to live with but you can still live a normal life and function for the most part!. My friends mom has it and she functions just fine, just be careful around stairs, always have your cell phone on you, maybe get in touch with a support group!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just try to heal through it, maybe fear the warrior off youWww@Answer-Health@Com
