Answers:
At 17 your chances of having breast cancer are very, very low indeed!. It's mainly a disease of ageing - 80% of those diagnosed are over 50, and women in their 20s and 30s are considered young to have it and account for only a very small percentage of those diagnosed!.

It is extremely rare in women under 20; in fact a cancer doctor who posts on here has said that in 20 years working with breast cancer patients he never saw anyone under 20 with breast cancer!.

Most breast lumps, even in women over 50, are not cancerous!. Many women have naturally lumpy breasts!.

What you describe is probably hormonal!.

If the lump is still there in a week or so, see your doctor so s/he can put your mind at rest!. But bear in mind how very unlikely it is to be cancer - all the odds are in your favourWww@Answer-Health@Com

If the lump is more movable, then it is most likely nothing to worry about!. It is probably just a cyst!. I have these, and they are nothing but a nuisance!. Cancerous lumps are usually fixed solidly to the breast tissue and are hard and pea sized!. If you are really freaked about this, though, you should probably go to the doctor to get things cleared =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

PLEASE remember that most breast lumps are nothing to be concerned with, however, you are not going to rest until you get it checked!. Go to the doctor for peace of mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are young and I do not think it is anything serious, but still have mom take you in to the doc to get checked out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I'd wait a few more days or another week!. If it doesn't go away, go to a doctor, because you never know what it could be!.

I hope it all turns out okay! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
