Glucose/ diabetes test...?!

Question: Glucose/ diabetes test!.!.!.!?
I had my 1 hour glucose test done and failed with a level of 178!. I was wondering if that's high or if I still have a good chance of not being positive for diabetes!. I'm doing the 3 hour screening tomorrow, but it's got me kind of nervous!. He also told me I was bordering on anemia!. I don't even really know what that means!. Any feedback would be helpful!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes your 1 hour test showed you may have developed Gestational Diabetes!. That is a form of Diabetes that can occur during pregnancy, after the pregnancy is over the diabetes goes away!. But it does put you at increased risk to develop Type 2 Diabetes later in your life!. If you "fail" the 3 hour test then depending on how high your numbers are you will be put on a strict diet and insulin for the duration of your pregnancy!. If your numbers come back only slightly over the limit you may be able to get by on diet alone!. This is nothing you did wrong, it is simply something that happens sometimes!. So don't guilt yourself over it!. It will be very important for you to follow your Dr!.'s orders to the T!. This will help ensure the health and safety of the rest of your pregnancy and a healthy baby!. Anemia is low iron level in the blood, take care to take your prenatal vitamins and if necessary the Dr!. can give you extra iron!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probley are NOtT a diabetic because I am and when I was diagnosied christmas day at the age of 2!. I had a blood sugar level of almost 800!. 126 or below is non diabetic!. So even being just 178 you may have consumed extra sugar or carbs don't worry!.By the way anemia is an iron decicencey no big deal!. By the way my A1C is now 6!.9 Im a type 1 diabetic!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, 178 is high!. Norm is about 70-110!. The 3 hr!. will tell the story!. Anemia means you have a low red blood cell count!. There are a lot of factors to be considered and examined before you can worry about this!. Your Dr!. should explain all of this to you!. If not, ASK!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
