i don't care about the best answer, i have keloids, bad, i have 4 holes in my ears, i got them pierced with a gun, and kept them really clean, i used hydrocortizone on them 2 times a day, between the cleanings, and used vitamin E oil, it's been several years, with no keloids!. i know it sounds a little overboard, but i didn't want scars on my ears!. i hope this helps you, and the best of luck, this is a bad problem and you must always think first, so you are very smart to think ahead and ask questions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dark skinned people get keloids much more easily than those with a paler skin!.
They are especially common in people with black skin
Wounds that are under tension while healing, or which get infected, are particularly likely to form keloids, as are burn and acne scars
Keloids are most common between the ages of 10 and 30 years
Keloids are not caught from someone else and carry no risk of turning into a cancer
A tendency to get keloids runs in some families

Keloids are large, bulky, raised scars!.
They can be very unsightly!.
Unlike other scars, they gradually grow bigger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
