Why did keloids form on my ear?!

Question: Why did keloids form on my ear!?
I got my ears peirced for the first time a couple of yeas back, i thought it was an allergic reaction to the 14k gold earrings I was wearing but then I got them peirced not too long ago with different earrings but I found out Keloids formed!.

I've seen Keloids before normally on Black people like myself because I know we have a higher rate but what I don't understand is how do they form!? What is the reason for them to appear on my ear!?Is it serious!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is just the way the skin heals, it produces more skin layers and scar tissue than normal!. It is most common in Blacks and people of Mediterranean descent!. (I am Italian and have one on my chest) it may have something to do with the extra pigment in our skin!. I just know that (through experience) they will not go away and will only get bigger if you remove them!. i wouldnt pierce anymore!. I have one on my chest and steroid injections are all that has helped, some people with really large keloids can get radiation therapy (it kills the fast growing cells and shrinks them) they arnt serious they just dont look good!. they can be itchy and painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im not 100% on what keloids are!.!. but if its what i think it is, they are bubbles!. they are there when you get your ears pierced in the same place, twice!. i did it to my cartilidge, and got big bubbles that lasted weeks!. So i took out my earrings [after 2 weeks] and cleaned them in hydrogen peroxide, and cleaned my ears with hydrogen and rubbing alchohol!. Now the bubbled are gone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my friend got his surgically removed!. well from what i understand, bacteria grows around your ear even if you clean everyday!. if you clean it, you gotta take off the earring too and clean the earring thoroughly b/c bacteria can grow between the skin and the earring!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
