i think i have hives,like mosquito bites red and itchy,my wife is pregnant do i need to stay away from her if i have!?and is it hives!?like red circles on my forarms triceps,feet!.none on the back yetWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hives will probably not look like mosquito bites, because they are flat, not raised!. Hives are the result of an allergy, and are not contagious!. If it is hives, over the counter benadryl should resolve them!. If they do not resolve, you should see a Dr!. to evaluate the rash!. There are literally hundreds of different conditions that can produce red lesions like that!. Many of them are contagious and can pose a threat to your wife and unborn baby!. Honestly, I think you should go see a Doc anyway to be sure you don't expose her to anything!. You should avoid contact with your wife for now, but there is a danger of exposure just by sharing the same house, car, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I get hives all the time! It's normally your allergies acting up on you!. To stop itching, I normally take a long, hot bath with oatmeal powder in it!. Then I put socks on my hands and feet, to stop myself from itching!. Also, I buy Benadryl Itch-Releif Cream, that works really well!. You don't have to stay away from your wife though, because hives are not contagious!. It also could be chicken pox!. If you are not sure, ask your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Hives are due to an allergic reaction, they are not contagious, so you are ok being near your wife!.
