I have the worst hiccups!?!


Question: I have the worst hiccups!!?
I held my breath for a minute, took 10 big gulps of water, and had someone try to scare me(as you can see that worked real well, ha)!. and I've had them for a half an hour now!
What else can I do to get rid of them!?

1!. Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart, lock one thumb in the palm of your other hand with fingertips outstretched, lift your chin, look up and stretch your arms over your head (reach for the sky), pull your abs in as if trying to let your pants fall off your hips, and breathe deeply several times!.

2!. Lean back in a chair, get comfortable!.
SLOWLY breathe in until you feel like you can't inhale any more, trying to get a feel for extending the breath down towards your abdomen!. You are trying to stretch your diaphragm to interrupt the hiccups!.
Hold your breath for 30 seconds
Exhale slowly until your lungs are empty!.
Repeat 4-5 times or until you feel better!.
Slowly bring your chair back forward as you exhale your 4th or 5th time of the exercise!.

3!. Swallow three times in a row!.
Take a deep breath!.
Have 2 sips of water!. Your hiccups have gone!Www@Answer-Health@Com

two methods that work for me;

instead of counting swallows of water, do this
1!. Get a huge glass of water
2!. take a huge breath in and hold it
3!. drink as much water as you can without breathing out, and I mean as much as you can!

second way to do it;
1!. Get a regular glass of water
2!. bend over and drink as much of the glass of water as possible from the far edge of the glass (so that your bottom lip is inside the glass and top lip on the outide)

Calm down!. There was a case where a person had hiccups for 5 months!. Having them for a half hour isn't bad at all!. What works for me is I hyperventalate for a 15 seconds then I hold my breath for 2 minutes or as long as I can!. If I really need a breath I take one and them keep holding my breath!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hold water in your mouth, bend over and put your head between your legs, or close to them, and then swallow the water!. Then slowly come back up, and they should be gone!. Works every time for me!. or take a timy bit of sugar and put in in your mouth!. It works sometimes for me!. Good luck, hope I could help!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well I would suggest holding your breath and getting someone to scare you but seeing as you've already tried that!?!? But my science teacher once told me to press the top of my head and at the bottom of my ribs !?!? but that didnt really work so !.!.!.!?!?

My dad taught me this, he went to school to become a doctor, but never did!. He said to push out your stomach and hold your breath at the same time!. And don't just push out your stomach, what i mean is make a bubble in your stomach!.

2!. Put a spoon in the glass, with the handle of it facing up!.
3!. While drinking the water try to keep the handle of the spoon on your nose!.

Set down and concentrate!. Regulate your breathing!. Hiccups are actually the body's way of getting an appropriate amount of oxygen!. Breath in though you mouth and out your nose!. It may take a little bit, but it will work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best way I've found that helps the most is drinking water upside down!. It really works!. You just get some water in your mouth, get upside down, then swallow!. Sometimes, if it's really bad, repeat more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
