Question: C difficile, I was hospitalized for it in Feb do you know about its course!?
I was in isolation for it and sent home assuming I am in the clear Since that day I have to be close to the bathroom in the mornings!. Its often diaherra or pretty close to it!. Its only once or twice a day, not like it was when I was really affected!. Have you heard of this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Were you treated with metronidazole or something of that nature!?
If so, you SHOULD be in the clear!. They can't test you again for awhile because you would still come up positive!. Even though the bacteria have been killed, the TOXIN is still present!. The toxin is what is tested for in the lab, and what is causing your current diarrhea!. When the toxin has been cleared and your bowels have time to replenish the normal flora that's supposed to be there, you will start having normal bowel movements!.
It's still going to be a pain in the a*& for awhile yet!. (Sorry for the lame pun!.!.!.it makes some of my patients laugh!.)

Cl!. difficile can be found in soil, stool and intestines of healthy people and animals, uncooked meat or poultry, and spores are easily transferred from the hands!. Cl!. difficile is the major cause of antibiotic-associated diarrhea!.
