What works to treat symptoms from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?!

Question: What works to treat symptoms from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome!?
Answers:
First of all, in reaction of one answerer, Chronic Fatigue Syndrom is NOT a mental illness!!! Do your homework before you answer a question like this one, we are speaking about a very serious and heavy illness here!.

Second, sleep is also NOT the cure of CFS!.

That said, now my answer!. ;-)
There is unfortuanetly still no cure for CFS!. But, that's not your question anyway!.
About treating symptoms:
What I find very important is to find the right balance of activities and rest!. It's called pacing!. Learn to recognise all the symptoms and to listen very sharply to your body!. The trick is to take some rest before you feel that you are too tired!. This takes experience and a lot of patience!. For me, it works very well!. I have CFS now for almost 3 years, and now I'm able to work again for 3x8 hours a week!. Something that I thought to be impossible only half a year ago!.

I also undergo acupuncture treatment!. It doesn't cure, but it helps a lot in giving me back my energy, and also in treating symptoms like hormonal imbalances, difficulty to sleep, stomach problems, headaches etcetera!.

Falling asleep is for many patients a huge problem!. I use melatonine when I am having trouble sleeping!. It works for me!. Getting not enough sleep takes energy, that you can't afford!. So, in that way, answerer nr 1 is right!. You do need sleep and much rest, though it doesnt cure CFS!.

Positivity!. Though that's not always easy and it's also good to cry sometimes or be angry, try to focus on the things you can do instead of the things you can't!. Frustration costs a lot of energy, that you just can't afford!.

For me it's mostly a matter of constantly watching my balance!.
I try to stop before I get too tired, and to take enough rest!. On the other hand, I try to do whatever I can, within the amount of energy I have of course!.

If I compare myself to only half a year ago, I am doing so much better! I have CFS for almost 3 years now but only this year found out what it is that I have!. I am taking this illness very serious, and that also works, because I am very aware of the danger of getting beyond my energy level!. I think that if I would ignore my balance, it would only become worse!. Now, it's getting better and better, of course with down oeriods, but they get shorter and less heavy!.

Take a look at this website, it was very inspiring to me:
