Is my cartalige piercing healing right?!

Question: Is my cartalige piercing healing right!?
I just got my cartalige pierced on Friday, and it is not red or swollen but it hurts so bad when I clean it or touch it!. Is that a sign that it might be infected!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I recently had a similar piercing, you should know that piercings in places of cartilage are the slowest healing and have the most complications, next to some odd body piercings!. Anyway, ONLY touch it when cleaning and when you have taken the precautions of having the cleanest of hands and supplies!. Try not to move the piercing around till after it is cleaned and you have removed as much little crusty healing fluids as possible!. What you are feeling can be the healing tissue inside the piercing, when it moves it hurts and can cause additional damage and take longer to heal!. So watch out for that!. Be as gentle as you can!.

You should also start to try to boost your immune system and stop drinking/smoking (as much, I haven't) if you do such things!. Eat well and rest well, but be gentle!.

Note: Sometimes your skin may form a bead of scar tissue around either side of the piercing that mimics an infection!. These beads of tissue tend to go away, but know your body!. If it feels infected (spreading/radiating pain/redness etc) then it may be, but don't remove it and consult your piercer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

that did happen to me on my catalige but it has happened with other piercings i got, as long as you keep cleaning it, it should be fine, if its not swollen then im sure you'll be fine, just like i said clean it everyday and it'll easy up a little, try not to sleep on it, i heard cartaliges take a long time to heal, even longer then some facial piercingsWww@Answer-Health@Com
