What should I do about this burn?!
Question: What should I do about this burn!?
I have no insurance first of all, and my family is running off of a small paycheck at them moment!. I fell on top of my Flat Iron and burnt up my elbow and, it's a 3rd degree burn!. We went to the Pharmacy, got burn cream and little pad things that were taping on top of the burn!. :)
I want to know, is there anything else I can do to help heal the burn!?

Keep it covered for a while!. As it heals, begin to uncover it for at least a few hours per day (like when you're asleep)!. When it's healed up some, try something like Neosporin on it (it speeds healing, reduces scarring, and has pain reliever in it)!. If it really is a third degree burn, it will take a long time to heal, and you need to watch it closely!. There is a high risk of infection, and you need to keep it very clean!. Chances are, you will eventually have to take this to a doctor!. If an opportunity arises, take it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
3rd degree burns don't hurt because you destroyed the nerve endings, so, no, that isn't odd!. Just keep it clean and dry if you can't see a doctor, but it may not heal correctly!. Your best bet would be to see a doctor and have them remove the dead tissue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
no, not if its a 3rd degree burn, because they have burnt all the nerve endings!.
although i kind of doubt it is 3rd degree, if it is, i would go to the er, as it can get super infected and cause death!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
