Bad diarrhea for 2 days. No other issues. Take meds or not?!

Question: Bad diarrhea for 2 days!. No other issues!. Take meds or not!?
I have had bad diarrhea for 2 days now!. It's pure water, not to be gross!. I heard that you shouldn't take immodium if you can avoid it so your body can do it's job and flush out whatever it is trying to get rid of!. But at what point should I be concerned!?

I have no other problems, I feel just a little crampy otherwise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have IBS so I get diarrhea quite a bit!. I always have Immodium on me because I never know when I will have an attack!. It works great for me, but like someone else said, it makes some people constipated for days!. I normally will not take the immodium and let things run its course if I am just going to be at home or whatever, but when it comes to going to work or an appointment or something, i will take the immodium just to get me through the day!.!.!.!.sad I know!. Hope you feel better, I know it's not fun!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Make sure you are drinking lots of water!. My doctor has said that if your urine is very dark yellow then you might need to be concerned - it's an indication of dehydration and kidney issues!. If you get this frequently, then your doctor should check for digestive ailments or food sensitivities!. If it's unusual, and you feel ok, I would just stick with the "BRAT" diet (bananas, rice, apples, tea) until it goes away, which happens with me now and then if something doesn't agree with me!.

I don't like immodium, which is what the doctor always says to take, because once it kicks in I don't go for about 2 weeks!. Something milder, like pepto bismol is frequently helpful!.

Just make sure you don't get dehydrated!. Lots of water, maybe a little gatorade type stuff too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
