Waking up at night with palputations?!

Question: Waking up at night with palputations!?
It's happend twice so far!. The first time was about four days ago and was at exactly 1:00!. I had no dream before, I just woke up with rapid heart beat, or palputations and they lasted for about 20 minutes!. The second time was last night and I woke up exactly at 4:00 and this time I did have a dream before and it was a dream that played out my heart beats!. In the dream I fainted in my old kitchen and had super duper fast palputations and died in the dream only to wake up in my bed with my racing unnatural heartbeat which also lasted for about 20 minutes or less!.
I drink enough, I don't eat alot but I eat!. I am 16, 5"3, and weigh 100 pounds!.
My question is about the dream I had last night!. Right now I am trying to find out the reason I get palputations and am confused as ever!. I have no idea if it's stress because the first time I woke up and had them I had no dream or thought, and the second time was that I dreampt it and it became real!.

Answers:
You could have anxiety!.

I have Mitral Valve Prolapse, and since I was 16, I woke up a lot with palpitations!. I still do from tiem to time, and it's normal for people with MVP!.

Maybe you should go to a cardiologist to get a full cardiac workup!?

Sometimes palpitations are dangerous, sometimes they dont even have a reason!. They just happen!.

Things that can cause palpitations:
Caffeine, Anxiety, certain medications, illicite drugs, MVP, Tobacco, Asthma medications, sterioids, exercise, illness, stress!.

This is from emedicinehealth!.com, "Specific types of palpitations may be due to structural abnormalities in the heart!. Narrowing of the coronary arteries that causes a decreased blood supply to the heart muscle can cause irritability and abnormal heart beats like premature ventricular contractions, ventricular tachycardia, or ventricular fibrillation!. Structural wiring abnormalities can cause paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardias or Wolfe-Parkinson-White syndrome!."

Is these palpitations are waking you up at night, you should see a doctor!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
