I think you should go to the doctors and get tested!.!. maybe it is not the guinea pigs you are allergic to, but their bedding or something else!.
More than likely, though, you are allergic to the guinea pigs!.!. maybe you can try some or all of the steps listed on this site!?:

I still think you should go to the doctor and get their opinion and see what other options you have!.!.!. I doubt the only answers are expensive shots or giving away your pets!.
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I bought my children 2 guinea pigs and later found out I was allergic to them!. It's usually caused by pet dander, so before you pick them up wash your hands and do so after holding them!. You can also give them a bath in warm water to cut back on the pet dander!. Giving ours baths cut back on my sneezing an awful lot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have heard of a food for the guinea pig that you can get that might help curb the problem!. A quick search didn't render any results, but try looking around!. It may only be viable for larger or more popular domestic animals like cats and dogs, but it's worth a shot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
This is going to sound funny but see if they have a dry shampoo to wash the animals in!.!.!. it might be something on their fur that was in the cage they stayed in!.!.!. try that an see if it helps!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
over the counter allergy pills!. pills tend to be expensive too but try the store brands!. they have all the same ingredients with a big savings! and make sure to wash your hands before and after handling them!. washing your hands will rid yourself of the hair that may be causing your reactions!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I would try to take an allergy pill just the over the counter ones, and see if that helps a bit!!I'm slightly allergic to our cats, and when I take a pill they don't seem to bother me much!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
take a Benadryl every day!. The human body adapts to it's surroundings!. But your body will only adapt to YOUR guinea pigs, not other ones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You need to keep them and their cages as clean as possible!. You may be reacting to the material in their cage or because you haven't cleaned their waste!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
