Fear of needles?!

Question: Fear of needles!?
Well okay I have Belonephobia which is basically the fear of needles!. I start breathing rapidly but feel like i cant breath, get very hot, my ears ring really loud, and most of the time I end up fainting!. I also get really pale and afterwards I feel all tingley!. Lately its been even worse, like not only needles but also deep cuts and people who have stiches!. Today I got an e-mail talking about sumthing to do with needles and I started getting all hot and light headed just by reading it!. Last time I had to get a shot I told the doctor about it but all he said is " Oh thats really common" and then he went and did something else!. So I guess it cant be to bad, but its very annoying and its kind of scary with the whole breathing thing!.Does anyone else have this!? Is there something you can do or take to help with it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
he is right!. belonephobia is one of the most common phobias if not #1!. but can be handled!. in fact all phobias can!. because a phobia is an extreme fear it's hard to overcome!.

the part where you say you are getting hot, and can't breathe is called "shock"!. your body thinks it's going to die(to tell you the truth) but it's not!. so what it does is it gets everything going(your heart and other organs) tying to fix it!. thats why you get so hot and sweaty!. and if your body thinks it can't fix it in time it makes you faint so that it can use all the energy it has to fix it with out anything (like using energy to stand or even keeping you awake) getting in the way!. and the reason why its getting worse is because you are letting it build up, making it seem worse then it actually is!.

i have the same thing!. and i had to have my blood taken every month!. im still a little an easy but i got it to where i don't go into shock !.

*you should ask to lay down when you are getting a shot or taking blood it will help you to relax a little more!.
* if you tend to listen to music as well then you should listen to relaxing music, nothing with a fast beat!. talking to someone will help relieve stress!.
*also when you are on your way to the doctor stop by a fast food place to pick up a soda or shake!. something high in sugar because when you go in shock your body loses sugar quickly and therefor you need to restore that sugar quickly so that your body can have some energy to keep you up!. it will help with your lightheadedness as well!. if not, you need something higher in sugar or more of it!.

well sorry for my long answer but i hope it helps!. :]Www@Answer-Health@Com
