Question: Im really worried about my bfriend!!!!!!?
my bfriend had become so depressed latelly hes been dealing with acid reflux for years about 10 years exactly, hes been to the dr!. i dont know how many times and comes back with only more medicine to try, im so disapointed, and i dont know what else to do to help him it makes me so sad, we have tried everything from home remedies, tums, even apple cider vinegar( hes worried about this one cause hes been taking it for over 2 years and he has just realize that the symtoms had gotten worse, and he thinks he might had damage his body for good! can this be possible!?!?!? is there any hope for this desease , hes so deppresed cause theres no day that he doesnt feel sick at all!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

edie, your boyfriend needs to see a gastroenterologist for his reflux as it could be a sign of something else brewing!.
He has that right as a pt!. to get a 2nd even 3rd opinion to find out what's wrong with him!.
Seriously, I use to work in a hospital and have seen everything!. It won't hurt to get another MD involved at all!. Sometimes it's best to get another set of eyes to find what others have missed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is sadly actually is possible to be hurt by acid reflux and certain pills to treat them!. The esophagus can burn up, and one with that would be have to be fed by a feeding tube!. There are surgeries available for this, however, I have found doctors like to wait until after the damage has been done to prevent unnecessary surgery!. I don't agree with this, I think the damage should be stopped before it's been done!. They don't like getting sued, so they're being extra careful this way!.

One of my bosses began taking and selling a product called LImu juice a couple of years ago!. It sounds like an old fashioned snake oil type thing to me, but my boss, who is like my brother, and two guys I work with all swear it has helped them with various ailments, including acid reflux!. My boss was taking prilosec daily, and doesn't take it at all now!. The other guys I work with say it works wonders on their blood pressure and muscle soreness!. Might be worth trying a bottle or two to see if makes any difference!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
