The type of bacteria that commonly cause skin infections vary!. I work in a wound clinic, and for a simple cellulitis, Keflex is often used as a first choice for treatment!. But, if you have open sores on your face, it could be something else (like Impetigo)!. Sometimes, those will respond to topical treatment like Mupirocin ointment!. You really need to have someone look at it and diagnose the problem!.
