Question: I will have a lithotripsy soon!?
I'm a little nervous!. I have a 7mm kidney stone and worried that the lithotripsy won't be successful or that the small pieces will clump together on the way down the ureter!. Is the lithotripsy usually successful!? Is it really painful afterwards!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

My husband had this same procedure a few years ago!. I am not going to lie, it did hurt and when he passed the stones there was a lot of blood!. But, you have to get them out!. His kidney was shut down for a few days before the doctors realized what was going on and that is even more dangerous!. They will give you some really good pain meds!.!.!.take them!!!
