Sharp pain in my heart?!
Question: Sharp pain in my heart!?
I know that Y!A is not a reliable source for medical attention, but I am wondering if anyone else experiences this!? I experience heart arithmia (sp!?) a couple times a month but always related it to stress!. My grandfather has a bad heart (several massive heart attacks and bypasses) and my mother has a leaky heart valve!. I am starting to wonder if heart problems run in the family!. Every now and then I will go to take a deep breath and a very sharp shooting pain will go through my heart!. It catches my breath and stays mildly for the next couple breaths!. Is this another thing related to stress or should I think about seeing a doctor!?

Pregnancy put a lot of stress on internal organs!. Things get pushed and squeezed in order to make room for the growing fetus!. Another big problem is that stress and anxiety often manifest themselves as chest discomfort!. Especially in patients who have family histories of heart ailments!. Despite the fact that the pains you're feeling are perceived to be coming from your heart, they could easily, and much more likely be caused by something as simple as gas!. Pain from gas, and acid reflux are often perceived as chest pain, even in people who aren't pregnant!. Believe it or not, it is VERY common during pregnancy, and much more likely!. My suggestion is that you express your ailments and concerns on your next OB/GYN appointment!. Once you've been cleared by your doctor, you need to let these worries go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Ive been getting the same symptoms for a while on and off!. I saw my doc and after some investigations it turned out i have a hiatus hernia and gastric reflux!. In pregnancy refux is quite common!. I would get it checked out asap just to put your mind at rest!. I noticed also that when i drink anything ice cold i get the same pains!. GOOD LUCK!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
