Once you have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, you will need to take your Thyroxine for the rest of your life!. Without trying to sound too alarmist - you could die from not taking them!.!. It will not happen quickly, but over time, everything in your body will begin to slow down, including your heart rate, and you can slip into a coma!. It would start with all your old symptoms returning!.
If you just forgot to take one days worth of medication however, it is not the end of the world!. If it's still within a few hours of your normal medication time, take your tablet as normal!. If it's within 12 hours of your next dose, just sacrifice todays dose, and carry on as normal!. However, you should try to take Levothyroxineregualarly each morning for maximum benefit
Another thing to think about!.!.!.if you stop taking your Thyroxine when you are pregnant, you could wind up giving birth to an under-developed baby, since your fetus's growth would also slow down!. If you are pregnant-or are planning on becoming pregnant, I suggest you see your GP, as they can discuss the best plan of action regarding your medical needsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Then your thyroid condition wouldn't be controlled so you'd be more likely to gain weight, retain water, at higher risk of depression, arthritis, cramps etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
