Will a 7mm kidney stone pass on its own?!

Question: Will a 7mm kidney stone pass on its own!?
I have a Lithotripsy scheduled for next week, but wondering how to make sure the 7mm kidney stone doesn't move between now and the day of the Lithotripsy!. I'm afraid of the pain a 7mm stone will cause if it gets lodged!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
At 7mm the stone will almost certainly NOT pass!.

Stones that pass normally without intervention are usually smaller than 4mm!. Only around 1 in 10 stones that pass normally are any bigger than this!.

Stones larger than 6mm drop down to a 1 in 100 chance of passing without help!.

It's probable that you need the lithotripsy!. It's unlikely to go anywhere on it's own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no way to keep a stone from moving!. It is possible to pass a 7mm stone!. I've personally passed a 5mm and an 8mm stone myself!. I've passed at the very least!.!.!.30 stones in the past 10 years!. However, if you have NEVER had stones before the chances of you passing a 7mm stone is unlikely!. I think I've passed bigger ones because of the # of stones in the past!. I'm guessing the stone is still on your kidneys and has not lodged yet!. If it does lodge, then yes, you will be in the most horrific pain possible!!!!! Make sure you Dr has prescribed you some pain meds and you keep the pain meds with you at all times otherwise you may be making a trip to the ERWww@Answer-Health@Com
