NO that is rediculous!. u would have to kiss them if they have cold sores or have sex with them if they have genital herpes!. u can't get herpes by just touching something that some one else with herpes touched!. thats very impossible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It's very unlikely unless the other person just licked it and had herpes outbreaks on the mouth, and then you touched it with a open sore on your hand or licked it yourself!. I believe the virus can live for up to 2 hours depending on the surface!. I highly doubt you contracted it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Only if you touched your mouth, eyes, or nethers right after touching the envelope!. And only if they had just licked it!. I don't think a virus like Herpes can live in a room temperature dry environment for very long!.
