Where can I get Beta blockers?!
Question: Where can I get Beta blockers!?
I have a really bad anxiety problem and heard that Beta blockers can make you les nervous by slowing the heart rate!. But where can I get them except from a doctor's!. e!.g!. websites or a shop!.
I don't want to see a doctor about it because I am only 16 and I dont want my parents telling me that I need to stop worrying because telling me this doesn't make me feel less nervous!.

I'm also a teenager (17) and I have a Mitral Valve Prolapse, Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia, and Dysautonomia, and take beta blockers, and you REALLY don't want to mess with them without a doctor!. If you don't really need them they can slow your heart down too much and you can die!. They also cause weight gain in most people because they slow down your metabolism, and it's hard to exercise when you're taking them because your heart can't go up to where it's supposed to be!. Plus, beta blockers are usually taken to treat high blood pressure so it can lower your blood pressure which can cause you to pass out, and a sign of low blood pressure is sometimes nervousness, so I really don't think you want to try them, especially since certain kinds have been linked to depression in teenagers!. However I would recommend you see a child psychiatrist, anxiety is nothing to be ashamed of, lots of people have it including my best friend and my little brother, being a teenager is stressful enough already! Child psychiatrists know exactly what to do won't judge you, I promise!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should not take beta blockers without medical management by a doctor!. They are often prescribed for tremors as well as other things!.!.!.see a doctor and you will get a legitimate prescription which may help you and you can take it for years without any problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
