Answers:
here in england you can drink a few sips of water only before your appointment, otherwise drinking anymore can affect your test results!. but no tea or coffee etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When my husbands fast was scheduled the doctor told him, no FOOD after 9pm, Water was fine as well as if he wanted coffee in the morning but it would have to be black!. This was also on the piece of paper given to him, telling him what to do to prepare for this blood test!. It did also say unsweetened tea!.
But double check with the lab if you have any doubts!. They will be happy to go over it with you, since the prefer to have you do it the way they want it done!. Good luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No you can't not have anything to eat or drink!. The reason for the fast is to test your glucose level!. Glucose level is the ingredient in our body that turns sugar that we eat into energy!. This test is being used to determine how much glucose you have naturally in your body!. If you eat or drink anything then you would alter the test results!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You CAN drink plain water!. Do stay away from anything else though as there can be 'hidden' sugars in flavored water, and the milk that you might take in tea could also raise your blood sugar level as that contains lactose !.!.!. another form of simple sugar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
