It's best to go back to the doctor!. Ask the doctor to prescribe you something specifically for your chest infection and explain that you're getting married in a couple of days!. He/she will probably prescribe you amoxycillin, which is the standard antibiotic for such infections and comes in capsule or liquid form!. You take it 3 times a day and it works a treat!. You may also be given something to take down the swelling of your airways if your breathing is laboured!. Unfortunately you probably will still be coughing a lot on your big day but it won't ruin it!. Hope you have a wonderful wedding xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

When you have a fever and your sputum (phlegm) is changing colors than you have developed an infection!. You most likely have bronchitis or something similar!. You can call your doctor about the antibiotics just to be sure they are what you need to treat the infection!. In the meantime take Robitussin or Mucinex which are mucolytics (they thin out your secretions) so you are more able to cough them up!. As well as drinking plenty of water, that will also help in the mobilization of your secretions!.
Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hello,

(ANS) No! my sincere advise would be that you should defintely go back to see your GP as the antibiotics might not be the right ones for a chest infection!. Your chest infection will need specific antibiotics and those do need to be selected by a fully qualified doctor!.

**With a chest infection its best to try & get onto treatment ASAP! anyway, you don't want the chest infection to develop into anything more complicated or serious!. Most chest infections can easily be treated if you see the GP!.

**Don't delay being seen by the GP

Kind Regards & hope you start to feel better soon, good luck with the ceremony too!.

Didn't you tell your GP about the cough!? Bloody ring him up and ask for his advice!. I would think that he will tell you to take the antibiotics!. After all, they were prescribed for you!. If you leave "an annoying cough" for weeks on end, then you are at risk of developing acute bronchitis if not pneumonia!. I am not a GP, just speaking from personal experience!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's not a good idea to take advice from unqualified yahooers go talk to your gpWww@Answer-Health@Com
