Regarding the government producing the virus!. People like to think that the world, and particularly powerful people in the world, care about them!. Or are at least frightened or concerned about them!. And so when something happens to them, they suspect that these forces (who are thinking about them all the time, remember) must have specifically plotted things!. When the sad and difficult to accept truth is that most governments, most of the time, really don't care very much about anyone in particular or any group in general!. We like to think that we are somehow special, and thus worthy of special attention - even if it is negative!.
Anyone who thinks that our government can:
a) create such a lethal, stealthy, persistent virus
b) successfully target that virus to blacks and homosexuals
c) keep it a secret from the world
gives our government - heck, any government - a lot more credit than I do!.
Regarding HIV from having sex with monkeys!. We like to be titillated!. And bestiality (like other taboos) is titillating!. Plus, it allows us to believe that somehow HIV is a punishment for one person breaking a taboo!.

The gov did invent the virus, then they spread it in blacks and gays, only thing is, all they did was spread a lie to them, not even a disease, a lie!. They fed them a lie, and they ate it up, if this doesnt make sense its because you havnt researched enough, if you had you would know the gov invented it, and they use it to control the population, its easy to kill people and make money at the same time, didnt you know!?

People believe a lot of said reasons due to paranoia, media-hyped fear and also what the government tells them!. Many people don't take the time to research and understand where things (like diseases) might have originated from!.
It seems in this day in age, people will believe the most wildest stories rather than a very logical one!. It's up to informed people to spread knowledge and educate those who aren't aware of the truth!.
