I was on Accutane for about eight months and stopped at around the end of February!. I can honestly say it was a long and hard road, but very much so worth it!. For the first three-four months, it was absolute agony, my skin broke out and i had felt more depressed than ever!. However i was told by several (both past accutane users and my dermatologist) that this was just how the treatment worked!. Eventually however, my skin did clear!. There was a lot of redness and peeling!. You are going to need LOTS of moisturizer and LOTS of LIPBALM! It dried my eyes at one point too!. The side effects vary for everyone, my hair did fall and its reaaaaallly thin to begin with but it wasnt too bad and if you feel like its an issue your derm can lighten up the dosage!. Accutane overall cleared up acne on my face back chest shoulders everything! It was a miracle! Its a long tough road but VERY worth it!. If at any point you feel any serious side effects let your parents/doctor know!. Its a bit scary, but honestly i was just sick of my icky skin!. Today it feels good to have my skin back!.

Hearing vee's story !. !. !. Accutane doesn't sound worth the trouble!. You should try Proactiv solution!. Some of my friends use it and it has worked WONDERFULLY! And !. !. !. it doesn't have the side affects that Accutane has!. Proactiv promises that, "your skin will be clear and smooth - without dryness, redness, or irritation!." vee said something about having to have "LOTS of moisturizer and LOTS of LIPBALM!" I would try Proactiv before going onto a serious drug like Accutane!. Proactiv is NOT a drug!. They sell a cleanser, toner, and lotion that has helped many people solve their acne problems!. proactiv will not work if you have serious nodular acne in which case accutane is the best treatment but it is a very hard path to take and you have to be willing to go through with itWww@Answer-Health@Com
